ABOUT ME
At times of distress, whether new or prolonged, we often look to someone to anchor and guide us to regain a sense of safety and wellbeing. For some the difficulty which brings them to therapy is new or following a traumatic event, and for others the difficulty is long standing, it is difficult to remember a time not defined by such pain and suffering. It takes a brave decision to make that first step towards change and I am often humbled by the lengths that my clients go to touch, process and challenge their difficulties.
I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist offering therapy in my clinic in beautiful Zichron Yaacov, Israel or when need be, online. I moved to Israel following my Undergraduate degree in the UK and studied for my Masters and Doctorate at Bar Ilan University in Clinical Psychology. I completed my Clinical Residency at Hadassah Hospital Jerusalem and have taken various postgraduate certifications in a range of modalities including ACT, DBT, Somatic Experiencing and Neurofeedback.
In addition to my clinical work, I am the Director of Research at METIV: The Israel Psychotrauma Center and I have lectured internationally on trauma therapy, cognitive development and intervention research.
My style of working is active, exploratory and often focused. I like to be creative with my clients while constantly checking in, reanalyzing and assessing whether we are walking down the correct path together. I want to work with you to clarify your difficulties and together forge the best path through this difficult forest.
